The 11th Commandment in the Republican Primary

The people inside the Giuliani campaign plan not to go negative in the primary. You saw this evidenced when Romney attacked Giuliani on sanctuary cities in the last debate, which  met with a  non-response where Giuliani focused on the failure of the federal government to deport illegal aliens. Rudy will attack the Democrats, but he is not going to attack his GOP opponents.

McCain was going to be the one to run the ads that could sink Romney. But that is not likely with his campaign almost out of funds.  The wildcard for now is the Thompson campaign.

The result of this strategy: Romney is assured of victory in the Iowa Caucus. Due to the large Mormon population in Nevada and Wyoming, he is expected to be the victor there. Romney also maintains a narrow lead in Michigan and New Hamphire.

In what world does a candidate win the first four or five primaries or caucuses and not go on to win the Republican nomination?

Look For Me At the Next Debate

I will be attending the next presidential debate on September 17, 2007 at Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This is the Value Voters Debate with Joseph Farah as moderator.

Look for me – it should be easy to pick me out –  I’ll be the one grining from ear to ear.

Questions will come from 40 of America’s leaders including: Paul Weyrich, president of the Free Congress Foundation; Phyllis Schlafly, president of Eagle Forum; Don Wildmon, chairman of the American Family Association; Judge Roy Moore, with the Foundation for Moral Law; Rick Scarborough of Vision America; and Mat Staver of Liberty Council.

In addition, the group is soliciting questions in advance from the public. It has an e-mail address where they can be sent   directlyf2ainfo@f2a.org
